Encore teams with Jason Miskiri to bring Carribean restaurant to Silver Spring Business District 

Silver Spring, MD – May 2012 – Society Lounge is now open at 8229 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910.  Society’s cuisine was inspired by owner Jason Miskiri and combines American fare with subtle Carribean flavors including steak, chicken, ribs, shrimp, and salmon dishes.  The restaurant/lounge is open for lunch, dinner, and late night.  Jason Miskiri is also co-owner of Island Flavors Restaurant in Laurel, MD and a former professional basketball player. 

Mid-Atlantic restaurant contractor Encore Construction was the general contractor.  The project was a renovation of an existing 3,800 sq ft restaurant into the new Society Lounge.  The scope of work included masonry, metal framing, millwork, ceramic & quarry tile, wood flooring, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and more.  The architect for Society was dbd studios, llc from Fairfax, VA.
