3 Beneficial Tips For Planning A Restaurant Dining Room Encore Construction

You want to be careful of the space you’re leaving in between your furniture so that customers have enough space to walk and essentially will be comfortable.

The dining room is the heart of the restaurant, and with its ambiance, sets the tone for your restaurant.  There are a variety of factors that go into creating the ambiance you’re looking to achieve.  Among the many things to consider, in this blog, we’ll touch on the aspects of spacing, room dividers, and noise considerations when planning your restaurant dining room.

Leave Space In Between Tables

You want to be careful of the space you’re leaving in between your furniture so that customers have enough space to walk and essentially will be comfortable. When you are in the process of designing your restaurant on paper, it’s common to think that you can fit more tables than you might be able to. Make sure there is suitable space and seating for your customers so they will be comfortable.

A good rule of thumb is to leave a maximum of 24 inches in between corners when you’re setting up your dining room tables. Doing so will leave appropriate space and will be comfortable for your customers.

Use Room Dividers

If you have a dining room with a large seating capacity, you may want to consider using room dividers. Using room dividers can help make some sections of the dining room more private, especially if your customers want a little extra privacy for small gatherings. Additionally, portable or adjustable room dividers will allow you to divide the room to your and/or your customers’ needs.

Decide on the Noise Level

What do you want the noise level in your restaurant dining room to be? Many restaurant concepts are better equipped for a noisy environment, such as a bar. Others may be suited for excellent fine dining and a quieter atmosphere. Others, maybe somewhere in the middle is best.  Make sure to consider and discuss the possible options that you may have so that your dining room has the elements it needs to achieve the acoustics you want.
